We concentrate our efforts toward providing effective programming and hardware combinations aimed at transforming our client's existing system, while maintaining flexibility for future improvements.
PCIS has been in operation since 1979, serving the IBM® Midrange business community, emphasizing Bar Code Collecton since 1986. PCIS specializes in connecting Intermec Bar Code Equiptment to the IBM® AS/400®.
Custom and Package Bar Code Data Collection applications include Shop Floor Control, for the aluminum conductor industry; Receiving and Shipping Verification, Inventory Control, Warehouse Management and Inventory Control, EDI interface for Advanced Ship Notice (ASN), Pallet Tracking System, and Time and Attendance System.
Interface Software developed by PCIS includes DIACS and ScanGate. These products are used to connect Intermec Radio Frequency Terminals, On-Line Readers, Portable Readers and Bar Code printers directly, or via a PC front-end, to an IBM AS/400. These products have been licensed by such companies as Nintendo of America, United Technologies Automotive, Broyhill Corp., Atlas Copco Wagner Mining and Milgard Manufacturing.
PCIS has developed Radio Frequency and other data collection applications based on DB2/400, the database of the IBM® AS/400®, this can reduce the need for adding new hardware. When possible, data collection information should be loaded directly into existing applications, thus minimizing system expenditures.
PCIS, Inc. has developed interfaces into Marcam's MAPICS, SSA's BPCS, Computer Associates' PRMS, and Freidman Associates' HFA, as well as Screen Mapping Loading into J.D. Edwards Manufacturing Software.
PCIS's Fruit Packing System includes highspeed conveyor systems processing one box per second. The system includes Labeling, Weight Standards Control, and Product Segregation using Digital I/O Boards.
PCIS, with the new Intermec* 300 Controller, can install Bar Code Collection systems utilizing either 5250 Terminal Emulation or Screen Mapping capabilities. This builds a system that loads transactions directly into existing applications.
